Weather
6/10 SEATAC WEATHER
Forecast callin’ for…🌞
(Still traumatized by week 1’s shenanigans so we’ll keep sharing the sunny weather reports)

Rehashing some of last weeks greatness, we present Bizaro World part 2.
The same but not, left but right, up but down. Wednesday style… enjoy!🤟

Going to take a sec to thank all our WNWC staff and volunteers. None of this fun can happen without the continued contributions from so many of our wonderful tribe. So please thank them, hug them, Hi-five them or however you do it. ❤️

Lori and Mike Brazel have been part of the Wed Night family from day 1. Year after year (12 of them now), they put in countless hours under the tents, behind the computers, on the trails and honestly doing whatever needs to get done. Thank you Brazel’s for brining your stoke every single night. You are pillars of this community.

Jason Dougherty has been helping us gosh, 10 years? Jason anchors course set-up week to week, our CTC (Caution Tape Captain). Need to learn the flow? He’s your guy. He also answers your registration questions, tears down the course and shows up to every work party. Thank you Jason for your years of strength and traffic bearing commitment… and for keeping it real with that High Post! 😉

Taylor Petterson
This is Taylor’s 4th year as part of the team. Taylor was a stand out a few years ago, filling the early course set-up shift. He then took a Van Life break, got married and is now back because well, he’s awesome. Taylor still comes early and stays late, running course duty and timing. Besides being the smartest man under our tents, he rides bikes good too. We are fortunate to have his intellect week after week.

Yuri Rabena is basically the keeper of SeaTac Park. Yuri puts in countless days and hours building, cutting-in and maintaining the trails we all enjoy. On Wed Nights he can be found (near the coolers) racing, tearing down what we build and generally keeping the evening Tiki vibes alive (near the coolers). As you can see👇 Yuri’s skills don’t end on two wheels. Thank you sir for your endless energy and time spent keeping this place a float

The Partridge Family
Vince, Brenda, Addison and Brooklyn. The best humans on earth. Vince started racing with us back in 14′. One day he’s like, “Need help?”. Years and some long grey and orange hairs later, he has not stopped. With Vince comes his two wonderful daughters, Addison and Brooklyn. See our last email for their latest (spoiler, they are off to college). These two overachievers can be found managing evening timing duties and helping tear down the show. Thank you Partridge fam for all your contributions and endless smiles. Don’t ever stop being awesome.

Ryan Stucky has always been there when we need him. Year after year he’s shown up to help the show go on. Course help, registrations help, taking out the garbage. He’s down for whatever. Now with a family of his own, we get to indoctrinate little Theo Stucky as the next gen of WNWC child labor! 😆

Bryen Graver is our media man. Liking all the fun the Socials lately? That’s all Mr. Graver. He’s got a great eye for catchy content and sound brand building. Look for the camera next time out. You may make the cover of his next banner post. Thank you “Danger” Graver for all your wonderful support!

Mark Spencer-Coons, our Wolf Man. He stays off the radar, out of the pictures but quietly cleans up after our messes. Look for his imported Subaru “truck” or linger long enough near the keg. He’s closer than you think. Still can’t find him? He’s probably out picking up the piles of orange cones and folding signs left behind. Thank you “Sparky Marky” for your years of contributions and clean up.

And a final shout out to young Olin Luckey. He’s 13, loves bikes and generally wants to pitch in. Stacking volunteer hours or cones in the trailer, we’ll take it! The force is strong in this one. Thank you young man, we all appreciate your hard work.

There are others who help create Wed Nights. You know who you are. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This community is what keeps these events coming back year after year. Do you want to volunteer with us? We’d love to have you. Contact us for opportunities.

See you at the park!

Oh dang “This one’s a doozy Judge”.
KIDS, you will be on a new-ish track this week. Bring your skills! The rest of you are in for another bizarro world labyrinth of wait what?! There’s mulch, the Elk trail is in play, jumps and the old spare tire climb to the garden. For every up there’s a more fun down. We got you! 😉

It’s graduation week for many youngsters this and in coming weeks. Wed Nights has long been a place to play, commune and grow together. We have had the pleasure of watching these kids grow into young adults…on bikes. This week, some of our own have moved on to the next chapter in their lives.

Addison and Brooklyn Partridge
They’ve graduated high school with honors, along with a wall packed full of trophies and awards. Brooklyn will attend Grand Canyon U, in AZ. Addison will attended the UW. They started racing WNW in our kids race and now run timing

Nils Stevenson
Growing up on his Strider Bike at the SeaTac trails, he graduated from Saint Madeline Sophie middle school. With his own cycling trophy case, he’s taken to Baseball in a huge way. He will be attending to O’dea High School in Sep.

Congratulations to them and all the new Wednesday Night World Champs graduates!

See you at the park!

Daily News
Were hosting a 5pm Beginners Skills Clinic tomorrow. No fee, no pre-reg. Just show up ready to learn from coach Reeve. Remember, in our “TT” format, you can still race as a Beginner at 6pm. 👍

New N/A’s
Come sample some of the new flavors from Best Day Brewing. We got some new flavors in the coolers.

Last Sunday
Vince and Mark, two of our wonderful park stewards and WNWC volunteers, attended a community gathering at the park. SeaTac City officials and Port of Seattle Commissioners were there surveying the land we use and ride on. It’s been an ongoing topic but the time may actually come where the City outright owns the park. Since the dawn of man, the City has leased this land from the Port. This lease and lack of outright ownership of the property has stunted any recreational development of the trail system. If the purchase of the land happens, we could see complete shift in how the park is used and cared for. We could potentially have another designated Bike Park!
Fingers crossed 🤞 – Thank you Vince and Mark for representing the WNWC community!

Ok then, lets get into some features. We’ve all had a chance to loosen up, stretch the legs. This one will have an equal amount of tech and jumps mixed with some more punchy climbs. Nothing too nasty but a stinger here and there to keep you honest. Enjoy.
